SILVER AND TORTOISESHELL NECESSAIRE
Possibly England, 19th century. With French import stamp 1893–1970.
Tortoiseshell body with inlaid silver decoration designed as flower garlands. The necessaire includes an ivory writing leaflet, a pencil holder, a glass flacon, a jack-knife, a pair of scissors, a toothpick, an ear scoop, and a measuring stick.
H 6.5 cm.
