BOOK ILLUMINATION.-A single sheet from a French book of hours, circa 1520 with a depiction of the raising of Lazarus. Gouache on vellum, 9.9 x 6.6 cm. Below the image a four-line text with illuminated initial D. The margins edged with borders of lilies; with a skull on the lower margin. Verso text in Latin with further small initials. Framed.

Einzelblatt aus einem französischen Stundenbuch, um 1520 mit der Darstellung der Auferweckung des Lazarus. Gouache auf Pergament, 9,9 x 6,6 cm. Unterhalb der Darstellung mit vier - zeiligem Text und illuminierter Initiale "D". Die Ränder sind eingefasst von Bordüren mit Lilien, am unteren Rand ein Totelschädel. Verso lateinischer Text mit weiteren kleine Initialen. Gerahmt.
