Frankreich, spätes 15. Jh.. Seite aus einem livre d'heur mit figürlich ausgestalteter Initiale:"a". Darstestellt ist die Hl. Appolonia mit dem Marterwerkzeug. Der linke Bildrand ist mit roten Mohnblumen und Schmetterling verziert. Gouache auf Pergament, mit Gold gehöht. Beidseitig mit brauner Feder handgeschriebener Text in lateinischer Sprache (sechszehn- bzw. verso siebzehnzeilig). Grösse der Buchseite 13,5 x 9,5 cm (Buchstabe: 3,5 x 3,5 cm). - Leichte Bereibungen, insgesamt gut erhalten.

Gerahmt. - Ausgezeichneter Druck, überwiegend auf die Plattenkante beschnitten. Vor der langen Schräge rechts oben in der Luft. Einige Erhaltungsmängel, u.a. Randmängel, einige Dünnstellen, Knitter, geschlossene Risse und Löchlein und wenige Bereibungen. Im oberen Bildbereich stellenweise gebräunt. Verso Reste alter Montierung. Trotz der genannten Mängel noch guter Gesamteindruck. - Provenienz: Sammlermonogramm: SWB (verso), nicht bei Lugt; Sammlung Joseph Camersina de Pomal, 1824, Lugt 429; Colnaghi, London, 1869.

Die Heilige Katharina beim Lesen eines Buches. Holzschnitt, 23,8 x 16,2 cm. Auf Bütten mit Wz. Wappen mit Krone, Nebenmarke Kleiner Anker im Schild. Oben rechts mit Monogramm: AD. Gerahmt. - Kräftiger, gleichmässiger Druck mit der Einfassungslinie, diese teils mit schwarzer Feder nachgezogen.
