OVAL BRONZE RELIEF
17th/18th century, after a work by Jean-Baptiste Jouvenet (1644–1717).
Chased copper with a brown patina. Finely detailed depiction of the Raising of the Cross. In a polished brass frame.
30 × 26 cm (without frame).

The model for the relief on offer is a work by Jean-Baptiste Jouvenet (1644–1717), an engraving of which by Louis Desplaces (1682–1739) is kept in the British Museum (Inv. No. U,11.34).
