Louis XVI style, in part with older elements, signed by J.H. RIESENER (Jean-Henri Riesener, maître 1768), Paris.
Cuba mahogany, fluted, shaped and flamed. Hinged front, the inside lined with gold-embossed, brown leather. Inner compartment with 3 leather-lined "cartonniers" and 5 drawers arranged in 3 rows, below a large compartment. Gilt bronze mounts and applications. Shaped "Carrara" marble top.
