Germany, 16th century
Beech painted red and decorated with painted flowers, tendrils and berries in rectangular reserves. Domed lid painted with a flower still-life. Metal mounts (probably later).
31 × 20 × 23 cm.
One profiled strip and the lock are missing. Cracks. Paintwork in part highly rubbed.
