India, Coromandel coast for Thailand, 18th/19th c. Ca. 313 × 91 cm.
Mordant dyed and drawn resist dyed cotton, in red, green, blue, yellow, brown and natural. The centerfield consists of a geometric grid with lotus motifs. With triple-register end borders decorated with flame-like patterns. Minor wear and mending.
