A LARGE MANTEL PENDULUM CLOCK "A L'ETUDE",
Empire, the model by P.V. LEDURE (Pierre Victor Ledure, 1738 Paris c. 1830), the dial inscribed, A PARIS, Paris c. 1805.
"Griotte Rouge" marble and matte and polished gilt bronze. Enamel dial with the date in Arabic numerals and the hours in Roman numerals. 3 hands. Parisian movement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Fine gilt mounts and applications. The interior of the case inscribed in Latin. Bezel and glass cover missing.
