MATHEMATIK - Euklid -

Byrne, Oliver.
The first six books of the elements of Euclid in which coloured diagrams and symbols are used instead of letters for the greater ease of learners.

McLean, Victorian Book Design p.70. Im Vorwort schreibt er: "Among the Greeks, in ancient, as in the school of Pestalozzi and others in recent times, geometry was adopted as the best gymnastic of the mind ... the use of coloured symbols, signs, and diagrams in the linear arts and sciences, renders the process of reasoning more precise...". - Hs. Besitzvermerk auf Vorsatz.
