A HOLLAND CIRCLE, France, circa 1740. Sign. LE MAIRE FILS PARIS. Engraved brass. Base with large central compass, windrose and directions, 2 sights. Rotating alidade with another 2 sights. Ball-and-socket joint. D ca. 19 cm.

Messing mit eingraviertem Dekor. Durchbrochener Kreis mit Gradeinteilung, mittig mit grossem Kompass mit eingravierter Windrose und Himmelsrichtungen. Der Kreis seitlich mit 4 Absehen sowie mit drehbarer Alhidade mit 2 weiteren Dioptern montiert an Kompassbüchse. Mit Stativaufsatz. D ca. 19 cm.
