Ludwigsburg, ca. 1770.
Faience decorated in overglaze enamels. Crescent-shaped flower holder with pierced top. Convex body with rocaille decoration in relief, painted with outlined floral decoration. Unmarked.
H 11.5 cm, W 19.2 cm.

Comparable examples: Hetjens Museum, Düsseldorf (Klein 1962, no. 463, fig. 96); Bayerisches Nationalmuseum, Munich (Heiland, "Fayence-Kultur", 1925, pl. 59b). According to P. Ducret, two identical pieces from the Nottbohm Collection are now owned by the Bavarian State.
