Sin dalla fondazione della casa d’asta Koller, la porcellana e le faience sono una parte importante delle nostre aste e rispecchiano la lunga tradizione dell’ambizioso collezionismo di ceramica in Svizzera. Molte importanti porcellane e faience sono state acquisite tramite Koller, tra cui oggetti provenienti dalle collezioni dei signori Siegfried Ducret, Paul e Ursula Müller-Frei, René e Friederike Felber.

Oggetti da collezione di Meissen, Sèvres, Strasburgo, Nymphenburg, Du Paquier, Zurigo, ma anche maiolica italiana e creazioni provenienti dall’Impero russo vengono ricercate dal nostro esigente pubblico di acquirenti e raggiungono continuamente prezzi record: un raro e importante gruppo di porcellana di Meissen, raffigurante una donna in crinoline, proveniente della collezione Müller-Frei, è stato venduto al prezzo record di CHF 214 000. Tra i pezzi più belli degli ultimi anni appartengono un candelabro di Meissen, sulla base del modello di Johann Gottlieb Kirchner, battuto a CHF 78 000, oppure una grande statuina di uno svasso di Meissen di J. J. Kändler, che ha cambiato proprietario per la cifra di CHF 144 000. Un importante servizio da viaggio di Meissen con stemma patrizio veneziano della famiglia Correr è stato venduto a CHF 114 000.

Fulda, circa 1741–44.
Faience decorated in overglaze technique. Painted in grisaille after Johann Christoph Steinberger’s (1680–1727) engraving "The Presentation of Jesus at the Temple" from the New Testament (Luke 2:22). Depicting the ritual purification of Mary, kneeling to the right of the altar, with Joseph to the left offering two young doves. Simeon, wearing a bishop’s mitre and holding a censer, together with the kneeling prophetess Anna to the left, the Christ Child lying in a halo of glory on the altar table. Above the scene, two monumental temple columns rise into the clouds amid numerous angels. At the lower edge, two angels, one pointing toward the scene at the altar. Signed lower right "A.F.V.Löwenfincken.pinx.".

Künersberg, circa 1760.
Faience decorated in overglaze enamels. Octagonal form with raised border. At the center, a girl standing on a strip of ground, holding a symbolic bouquet of lilies and lily-of-the-valley and a radish, her gaze directed towards the viewer. Musical instruments on the ground. In the background, a park landscape with a formal French garden and a pavilion beside an artificial lake with figures in boats. Beyond, a fading hilly landscape in pale blue in the manner of the Künersberg "Uferlandschaften" (riverbank landscapes). In a later carved wooden frame. Unmarked.

Faience decorated in overglaze enamels. With lion-mask handles to the sides above applied fruit garlands, and a domed cover with a sliced lemon as finial. Painted with abundant floral decoration and inscribed "Mostarda Fina", with traces of gilding to the rims. Unmarked.

Probably Venice (or Urbino), ca. 1560.
The deep, protruding shape is painted green, ocher, yellow, and blue with a mythological scene from Ovid's Metamorphoses, Diana and Callisto. The compact depiction shows the Goddess of the Hunt, Diana, on the right edge of the picture, into whose figure Jupiter transforms himself in order to seduce her companion Callisto, who is later transformed into a bear by Jupiter's jealous wife Juno. Ocher-yellow border and line borders on the back.
Ø 30 cm.
Chipped rim.

With double serpentine handles on the sides above ocher mascarons. Painted on both sides with a quatrefoil cartouche in an architectural frame flanked by two cherubs, painted in blue camaïeu in the center with sea creatures, Triton, and Nereid, on a white background with grotesque painting.

The well features an intimate scene with a monk and a woman embracing, observed by a fellow monk hidden behind a curtain. The lip of the plate is decorated with textile leaves, dated and monogrammed “BM 1646” in blue on the verso.

Turkey, Ottoman Empire, ca. 1560–70.
Painted in a greyish blue, the center with a rosette and radial, stylized leaf decoration with pointed arches in a double-lined border, surrounded with seven floral motifs. Stylized “breaking waves” border on the lip. The back with alternating chinoiserie and leaf decoration. The foot ring with a drilled hole for mounting.
