Depuis la fondation de la maison Koller, la porcelaine et la faïence occupent une place importante dans nos ventes aux enchères et témoignent de cette longue et importante tradition suisse de collectionner la céramique. De nombreuses pièces prestigieuses ont été vendues chez Koller, notamment des objets provenant des collections du Dr Siegfried Ducret, du Dr Paul et Ursula Müller-Frei, et de René et Friederike Felber.

Les pièces de collection de Meissen, Sèvres, Strasbourg, Nymphenburg, Du Paquier, Zurich, ainsi que la majolique italienne et les créations de la Russie impériale sont convoitées par notre clientèle avertie et génèrent régulièrement des prix records. Ainsi, un rare et important groupe à la crinoline de Meissen provenant de la collection Müller-Frei a atteint le prix record de CHF 214 000. Parmi les autres ventes marquantes de ces dernières années, citons ce rarissime bougeoir de Meissen, basé sur le modèle de Johann Gottlieb Kirchner, vendu CHF 78 000, ou cette grande figurine de grèbe huppé de Meissen par J. J. Kändler, qui trouva preneur pour CHF 144 000. Un important service de voyage Meissen avec le blason patricien vénitien Correr a quant à lui atteint CHF 114 000.

Probably Venice (or Urbino), ca. 1560.
The deep, protruding shape is painted green, ocher, yellow, and blue with a mythological scene from Ovid's Metamorphoses, Diana and Callisto. The compact depiction shows the Goddess of the Hunt, Diana, on the right edge of the picture, into whose figure Jupiter transforms himself in order to seduce her companion Callisto, who is later transformed into a bear by Jupiter's jealous wife Juno. Ocher-yellow border and line borders on the back.

With double serpentine handles on the sides above ocher mascarons. Painted on both sides with a quatrefoil cartouche in an architectural frame flanked by two cherubs, painted in blue camaïeu in the center with sea creatures, Triton, and Nereid, on a white background with grotesque painting.

probably England, Southwark, dated 1646.
The well features an intimate scene with a monk and a woman embracing, observed by a fellow monk hidden behind a curtain. The lip of the plate is decorated with textile leaves, dated and monogrammed “BM 1646” in blue on the verso.

Turkey, Ottoman Empire, ca. 1560–70.
Painted in a greyish blue, the center with a rosette and radial, stylized leaf decoration with pointed arches in a double-lined border, surrounded with seven floral motifs. Stylized “breaking waves” border on the lip. The back with alternating chinoiserie and leaf decoration. The foot ring with a drilled hole for mounting.

Each on the lookout with erect ears, the buck sitting erect, the doe tensed, resting on her haunches, the fur naturalistically hatched and painted in shades of brown. Colorfully painted on elongated terrain pedestals decorated with applied flowers and leaves. Underglaze-blue sword marks on the backs of the pedestals.

Naturalistically modeled, almost as a pair, the drake in colorful plumage, the hen in monochrome, both finely painted and hatched. The drake's lid and tureen marked 12 in underglaze blue. The hen with handwritten inventory number XVI, 312.

Meissen, ca. 1723-24.
Conical tureen with angular handles and a finial. Very finely painted with quatrefoil cartouches flattened at the sides above a gold-tipped console with brown luster and iron-red embossed feathered leaves, depicting various chinoiserie scenes on a planted terrace with large-figure, amusing Chinese scenes on the edge of the cartouches. The cover, tureen and platter with corresponding gold lace borders. The inside of the tureen with a brown luster ground, a gold lace border on the upper rim, a bird in gold on both parts and a gold-leaf decoration on the lid. Two flowering branches in iron-red and green on the underside of the platter. Both foot rings and the lid rim with a gilt silver mount. Underglaze blue sword mark and .K.P.M. on the underside of the tureen, platter unmarked.

Meissen, probably ca. 1745-50, model by J. J. Kändler.
Each piece is painted with the Royal Alliance coat of arms of Poland, Saxony and Habsburg. Painted with Watteau scenes in the island style, courtly figures in park landscape vignettes and “Deutsche Blumen” with gold latticework borders on the rim. The finial of the lid applied with a sculpted lemon finial with leaves. On three legs with scrolled feet. Underglaze blue sword marks, press number 22 on the platter.
