LACQUER LADY'S DESK, in the style of Louis XV, after models by J. DUBOIS (Jacques Dubois, maître 1742) or B. VAN RISENBURGH (Bernard II Van Risenburgh, maître 1735), Paris, end of the 19th century. The wood lacquered all-around in the "goût chinois"; on a red and black ground. Writing surface lined in green, gold-stamped leather. The inside fitted with drawers and compartments. 1 secret compartment. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Free-standing. Requires restoration. 64x38x(open 71)x86 cm.
