BONBONNIÈRE,Paris 1798-1809. Maker's mark Abel-Étienne Giroux. Parcel-gilt. Round base with three feet and open-worked rim. Three sculptured faces of Centaurs. Flat lid crowned by a sculptured bird. H 27 cm, 1115g. Provenance: Private collection, Vaud.

Teilvergoldet. Kreisrunder Stand auf drei Füssen mit durchbrochenem Rand. Darauf drei Bocksfüsse, aus denen sich drei plastisch gearbeitete Kentaurenantlitze entwickeln, und die durch ein durchbrochenes Dekorband die Fassung des hablbkugelrunden Vermeil-Einsatzes bilden. Flacher, zur Mitte steil ansteigender Deckel, der von einem Knauf in Form eines Vogels bekrönt wird. H. 27cm, 1115g.
