RARE APOTHECARY JUG FROM THE ROYAL APOTHECARY IN LUNEVILLE,Luneville, factory of Jacques II Chambrette, circa 1750. Painted on both sides with a cartouche of rocailles, leaves and flowers crowned by an escutcheon with bull's head, the heraldic animal of the Polish Leszcynski noble family, and inscribed 'S. de Chicorée' in black. No mark. H 25 cm (28 cm). Associated cover, hairline crack at the mouth, small chip at foot edge.

Luneville, Manufaktur Jacques II Chambrette, um 1750.
Balusterförmig mit Asthenkel in Braun und blattförmigem Ausguss in Grün. Bemalt mit indianischen Blumen und zu beiden Seiten mit einer Kartusche aus Rocaillen, Blättern und Blüten bekrönt von einem Wappenschild mit Stierkopf, dem Wappentier der polnischen Aristokraten Familie Leszcynski, und beschriftet 'S. de Chicorée' in Schwarz. Ohne Marke. H 25 cm (28 cm). Der Deckel ist assortiert, Haarriss an der Mündung, kleine Fussrand Bestossung.
