ENTHRONED BISHOP,France or Spain, 12th/13th century. Carved poplar wood, hollowed verso (previously closed), with remains of painting. The staff in left hand later. H 80 cm.

Frankreich oder Spanien, 12./13. Jh.
Pappel geschnitzt, verso gehöhlt (ehemals verschlossen) sowie mit mehreren Fassungsresten. Der Bischof auf Bank thronend in aufrechter Haltung, die rechte Hand zum segnenden Gestus erhoben, in der linken den Bischofsstab (später). H 80 cm.
