A HANGING SCROLL OF AMIDA NYORAI WITH A LARGE SEAL. Japan, Edo period, 54x23.5 cm. Ink, colours and gold on silk. Stains.

Japan, Edo-Periode, 54x23,5 cm.
Tusche, Farben und Gold auf Seide. Der stehende Amida Nyorai auf einer Lotosblüte, welche wiederum von einem sechseckigen Sockel getragen wird. Eine goldene Aureole mit einem Stupa (Gorinto) in der Spitze umfasst die Gestalt. Sechs Apsaras umschweben den Buddha, wovon zwei Vogelbeine und Flügel haben. Das untere Viertel des Bildes wird von einem grünen Teppich bedeckt, im leeren Raum über dem Buddha prangt ein grosses Siegel. Brokatmontierung und gravierte Metallknäufe. Etwas fleckig.
