Vacheron & Constantin, rare chronograph with two-tone dial, 1943.
Stainless steel and pink gold.
Ref. 4072, classic steel case No. 273583 with pink gold bezel and pink gold pushers. Two-tone dial: silver / pink gold, with applied indices and Roman numerals in pink gold, tachymeter scale, pink gold hands and blued chronograph hand. Signed: Vacheron & Constantin Geneve and Hausmann & Co. Fine chronograph movement No. 437407, Cal. 13" - 434. Leather band with tang buckle. D 34.5 mm.

Provenance: Directly from the original buyer's family. The reference 4072 was primarily produced in yellow gold and pink gold, only a very limited number was produced in steel with a pink gold bezel. The unrestored two-tone dial also features the merchant's signature: Hausmann & Co. With an Extract from the Archives of Vacheron & Constantin.
