Gilt mounts and applications. 38x23x58 cm. Provenance: - Traditionally considered to be from the "Grand Salon" of the Château de La Norville in Essonne.

Louis XVI, das Modell von J.J. DE SAINT-GERMAIN (Jean-Joseph de Saint-Germain, Meister 1750), das Zifferblatt und Werk sign. IMBERT L'AINE (Jean Gabriel Imbert, Meister 1776), Paris um 1770.
Matt- und glanzvergoldete Bronze. Stehender Löwe mit prächtiger Mähne, auf dem Rücken das runde, mit Voluten und Vasenaufsatz beschmückte Uhrgehäuse tragend, auf profiliertem, ebonisiertem Holzsockel mit Kreiselfüssen. Vergoldete Beschläge und Applikationen in Form von Eichenzweigen, Girlanden und Akanthusrosetten. 38x23x58 cm.
