TORTOISESHELL AND GOLD FAN, St. Petersburg, end of the 19th century, Nikols Karl and Plinke. Yellow gold 56 Zolotniki. Very attractive fan made of long drop-shaped tortoiseshell pieces held together with brown silk band, torn. The 2 outer pieces with richly appliqued gold decoration in the shape of finely engraved, stylised band and leaf motifs and a crowned ligature monogram HC, backside four fleur-de-lys.

Gelbgold 56 Zolotniki.
Sehr attraktiver Fächer aus länglichen, tropfenförmigen Schildpattblättern, zusammengehalten mit braunem Seidenband, gerissen. Die äusseren zwei Blätter mit reicher applizierter Goldverzierung in Form von fein gravierten, stilisierten Band- und Blattmotiven sowie bekröntem Ligaturmonogramm HC, rückseitig vier Fleur-de-Lys.
