BOTANY.-Basilius Besler (1561-1629), circa/after 1613. I. Lichnis Sylvestris flore pleno rubro II. Lichnis Sylverstirs flore pleno albo. Original coloured copper engraving on wove paper, 47.5 x 39.5 cm. From: "Hortus Eystettensis", Eichstätt u.a., circa/after 1613. Framed. - Strong impression in fine colours from the period. With small margin around the visible plate edge. Some foxing, somewhat browned on the lower margin. Overall good condition.

Aus: "Hortus Eystettensis", Eichstätt u.a., um/nach 1613. Gerahmt. - Kräftiger Abdruck in schönem Kolorit der Zeit. Mit kleinem Rändchen um die sichtbare Plattenkante. Ein wenig stockfleckig, am unteren Rand etwas gebräunt. Insgesamt in guter Erhaltung.
