COFFEE POT WITH 'SCHWARZLOT' MERCHANT SCENES, MEISSEN, CIRCA 1730. Underglaze blue sword mark, gold number 74 on both parts. H 20.5 cm. Small repair at the tip of the spout, minor chip on the under edge of the lid. Provenance: - Jahn collection, Hamburg. - Lempertz Cologne, 12.6.1989, Lot 65. - Private collection, northern Germany. Exhibition: Museum fuer Kunst and Gewerbe, Hamburg, Meissener Porzellan des 18. Jh in Hamburger Privatbesitz, 1982, Catalog No. 54.

Birnförmiger Korpus mit S-Henkel. Bemalt zu beiden Seiten mit einer Kartusche mit feiner Kauffahrteiszene, die Kartuschenrahmen in Gold mit braunem Lüster und mit Laub- und Bandelwerk zwischen Gitterfeldern und Konsolchinesen in Purpur, dazwischen kleine purpurfarbene indianische Blumensträusse, unter einer Goldspitzenbordüre am Mündungsrand. Auf dem Deckel eine umlaufende entsprechende Panoramaszene ebenso in Schwarzlot. Ränder vergoldet. Unterglasurblaue Schwertermarke, Goldnummer 74 auf beiden Teilen. H 20,5 cm. Kleine Reparatur an der Spitze des Ausgusses, minimale Bestossung am Unterrand des Deckels.
