PAINTED CLOCK WITH CARILLON AND MOONPHASES, Baroque, the dial signed XAV BAYER IN OLLMÜTZ (Xaver Bayer, active circa 1740/60), Ollmütz circa 1740. Finely carved wood, painted green and gilded. The case with Chronos atop, set on shaped plinth with pierced scrolled feet. Finely pierced gilt bronze dial and silver plated bronze chapter ring, also with 2 small rings for seconds and date, also 3 further rings: the centre ring with finely painted moon phases, the other rings for striking and music mechanisms. Fine brass movement with verge escapement and 4/4 striking on 2 bells, on the hour the carillon with 14 chimes. Trip repeat. 44x33x85 cm. Provenance: Swiss private collection.

Barock, das Zifferblatt sign. XAV BAYER IN OLLMÜTZ (Xaver Bayer, tätig um 1740/60), Ollmütz um 1740.
Holz fein beschnitzt mit Kartuschen und Zierfries sowie grün gefasst und teils vergoldet. Rechteckiges Gehäuse mit sich nach oben verjüngendem Kranz mit Chronosaufsatz auf gekehltem Sockel mit durchbrochenen Volutenfüssen. Fein durchbrochenes, vergoldetes Bronzezifferblatt mit versilbertem Bronzezifferring für arabische Minuten- und römische Stundenzahlen sowie 2 kleinen Ringen für Sekunden und Datum. Darüber 3 weitere Ringe; der mittlere mit fein bemalter Mondphase, daneben je 1 Ring für Initierung des Schlag- und des Musikwerks. Feines Messingwerk mit Spindelgang und 3/4-Stundenschlag auf 2 Glocken, beim Stundenschlag den Holzzylinder für den Carillon mit 14 Tonstäben auslösend. Repetition auf Anfrage. 44x33x85 cm.
