IMPORTANT CLOCK WITH ORGAN MUSICAL MOVEMENT, Louis XVI, the bronzes probably by J.J. LEMOYNE (Jean-Jacques Lemoyne, maitre 1772), Paris circa 1780. Matte and polished gilt bronze. The rectangular case with two-handled vase and fine scrolled applications, set on plinth containing the musical movement. The clock with enamel dial and 3 small chapter rings for days of the week, date and month. Fine verge escapement striking the 1/2 hours on 2 bells. The organ movement with cylinder, bellows and 17 tin pipes for 6 melodies on request. Requires some restoration. 41x26x75 cm. Provenance: from a European private collection
