Bei dem hier angebotenen attraktiven Triptychon handelt es sich um ein schönes sprechendes Zeugnis der Volksreligiosität.
Während sich das Gehäuse und die Seitenflügel wie auch die textile Rückseitenabdeckung ins Südrussland des späten 18. Jahrhunderts verorten lassen, entstammt das Zentralbild wohl dem Ort Choluj in Zentralrussland und wurde Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts erneuert.
Während sich das Gehäuse und die Seitenflügel wie auch die textile Rückseitenabdeckung ins Südrussland des späten 18. Jahrhunderts verorten lassen, entstammt das Zentralbild wohl dem Ort Choluj in Zentralrussland und wurde Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts erneuert.

Oil, tempera and mixed media on panel, set into a triptych casket with fabric lining verso. The paint surface with a fine network of craquelure. Small colour losses and small holes visible in parts of the paint surface. Light wear along the edges. <br>Under UV light: some retouching visible on the figures and in the background.
