A BUREAU CABINET WITH LATER UPPER SECTION,

Baroque, Mathäus Funk (Murten 1697-1783 Bern), Bern c. 1745.
Walnut and burlwood inlaid with reserves and fillets. The double-door upper section opening to 16 drawers and a central door. The centre section with hinged writing surface revealing 7 drawers and 1 compartment. The commode lower section with 3 drawers. Engraved brass escutcheons and bronze handles. The interior lined with later paper. 2 keys. Restored. The back wall of upper section replaced.
