PAIR OF IMPORTANT ROCOCO SCONCES,
Germany, Franconia ca. 1765. One of the sconces a later copie.
Carved and polychrome painted wood. Curved, leaf-shaped wall panel with three branch-like light branches extending therefrom. Decorated with blossoms, roses and creepers. Gilt, vase-shaped bronze nozzles and drip pans.
H 58.5 cm.
