A PAIR OF PAINTED ARMCHAIRS, late Régence, France, 19th century. Carved wood painted white and with some gilding. Jonc seat and backrest. Painted decoration later.

späte Régence, Frankreich, 19. Jh.
Holz geschnitzt mit Muscheln und Blattvoluten sowie weiss gefasst und vergoldet. Leicht trapezförmiger Sitz auf durch X-Steg verbundenen geschweiften Beinen. Gerade, oben passige Rückenlehne. Joncbezug. Fassung später.
