This sheet is a preliminary sketch for one of the 31 drawings that Alberto Giacometti created to illustrate a volume of poetry by his artist friend Olivier Larronde. The poetry collection was published in 1959 under the title "Rien, voilà l'ordre," an anagram of Olivier Larronde's name.
