Wristwachtes & Pocketwachtes
Since its first stand-alone auction in 2015, Koller’s watch department has rapidly developed an international clientele, regularly realising top prices for rare models. The Watches auctions in June and December regularly record sell-through rates of 90 to 100%. In November 2016, Koller recorded the highest hammer price of the season for a very rare 1961 steel chronograph by Patek Philippe with a two-tone dial (CHF 456 000 with buyer’s premium). One year later, one of the first automatic wristwatches with a perpetual calendar by Patek Philippe sold for CHF 210 000 to a private German collector. In July 2020, a rare ‘chronomètre à résonance’ by independent watchmaker F.P. Journe realised CHF 230 000. Rolex, Patek Philippe, IWC, Vacheron Constantin, Breguet, Audemars Piguet, and Lange & Söhne are among the watchmakers represented in Koller’s Watches auctions, which regularly achieve top prices.
Uwe Vischer, Head of Department for Watches, is available to estimate single items or entire collections for our upcoming auctions.
Consignments are accepted until late March for our June auctions, and late September for our December sales.
