SOPHISTICATION
A RARE DAYTONA ‘PAUL NEWMAN’, GENEROUSLY PROPORTIONED DIAMONDS OF EXCEPTIONAL PURITY, AS WELL AS SOME STUNNING COLOURED STONES, ARE AMONG THE TREASURES OF OUR UPCOMING JEWELLERY AND WATCHES AUCTIONS.
Introduced in 2005 as the successor to reference 3970 and produced until around 2010, Patek Philippe’s reference 5970 is the company’s last ‘Lemania’ perpetual calendar chronograph, bearing the Geneva seal on its movement.
A Rolex Daytona comes directly from its original owner. In the early 1970s, watchmaker Geze outfitted the Swiss national ski team, supplying them with Rolex Daytonas. Another rare Rolex features an Observatory-certified movement in a series of just 24 examples of reference 6210 in 18-karat gold, its dial in superb original condition.
Central to the jewellery auction are extraordinary diamonds and exceptional coloured stones. Highlights include a 6 ct brilliant diamond of top D colour and IF clarity, and an 18 ct emerald-cut diamond set in a commanding ring. Another star lot is an important sapphire brooch, showcasing an unheated Ceylon sapphire of approximately 110 ct. We are also offering a striking cocktail ring by RAVE, set with an unheated Ceylon sapphire of over 33 ct.
