ITALIAN SCHOOL.Roman troops on foot and on horseback at a bridge, with citizens in the foreground. Early 16th century. Pen in brown, with brown and grey wash and partly watercoloured. 37.5 x 36 cm. Gold frame. - Fully backed. With areas heavily restored. Heavily rubbed and with numerous small losses. Requires restoration.

Römische Truppen zu Fuss und zu Pferd an einer Brücke, im Vordergrund Geschenke anbietende Bürger. Frühes 18. Jh.. Feder in Braun, braun und grau laviert und partiell aquarelliert. 37,5 x 36 cm. Echtgoldrahmung. - Ganzflächig auf Untersatzbogen aufgezogen. Teilweise mit grösseren Ergänzungen von Fehlstellen. Starke Bereibungen und zahlreiche kleinere Fehlstellen. Zu restaurieren.
