GOLTZIUS, HENDRIK (Bracht 1558 - 1617 Haarlem).Pieta, 1596. Copper engraving, 18.5 x 12.7 cm. Monogrammed centre bottom: HG. Dated on right hand margin: A 96. Bartsch 41; Strauss 331 II (of II). Old frame. Very fine, strong, even and clear impression. Trimmed mostly to the plate edge, which is visible in places. Minor foxing, remains of old mount verso. Overall fine condition. Provenance: Collection of C.Moyaux (1835-1911), Paris, Lugt 1829 a.

Pieta, 1596. Kupferstich, 18,5 x 12,7 cm. Unten mittig monogrammiert: HG. Am rechten Rand datiert: A 96. Bartsch 41; Strauss 331 II (von II). Alte Rahmung. - Sehr schöner, kräftiger, gleicmässiger und transparenter Druck. Überwiegend auf die Plattenkante geschnitten, diese stellenweise sichtbar. Minim stockfleckig, verso Reste alter Montierung. Insgesamt in schöner Erhaltung. - Provenienz: Sammlung C.Moyaux (1835-1911), Paris, Lugt 1829 a.
