WIERIX, HIERONYMUS (1551 Antwerp 1619).Melancholia. Copper engraving after Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528). 23.8 x 18.8 cm. Engraved inscription on lower margin: Johan Wirix fecit ann 1602. Alvin 1576; Mauquoy-Hendrickx 1556. – Fine impression with small margin around the clearly visible plate edge. Small paper loss on the upper left and lower left corners, reaching as far as the image. Otherwise in very fine condition.

Melancholia. Kupferstich nach Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528). 23,8 x 18,8 cm. Am unteren Rand gestochen bezeichnet: Johan Wirix fecit ann 1602. Alvin 1576; Mauquoy-Hendrickx 1556. - Schöner Druck mit kleinem Rändchen um die deutlich sichtbare Plattenkante. Die obere linke und untere linke Ecke mit kleinem Papierverlust, der bis in die Darstellung reicht. Sonst in sehr schöner Erhaltung.
