ROUND GUERIDON,

Transition, attributable to M. CARLIN (Martin Carlin, maître 1766), Paris ca. 1765/70.
Shaped mahogany. "Carrara" marble tops, edged in meander band. On castors. Requires some restoration.
D 37 cm. H 83 cm.


Provenance:
- from a French collection.

The exquisite design and selection of precious woods point to the cabinet-maker M. Carlin. Similar side tables were sold by Christie's Monte Carlo on 19 June 1999 (Lot No. 65) and on 10 December 2004 (Lot No. 384) .
