CUP AND SAUCER FROM THE "YELLOW LION" SERVICE

Meissen, ca. 1740.
Underglaze blue sword mark, K.H.C. in purple on the saucer.
H 7 cm, D 13.4 cm.


Minimally restored on the edge and the beaks. Enamel colors, slightly rubbed.

Provenance:
- Royal Pastry-Shop, Dresden, for a dining service for the Elector Frederick Augustus I of Saxony (1670-1733) and his son, Frederick Augustus II of Saxony (1696-1763).
