The kingfisher, with its dazzling plumage and remarkable hunting prowess, enchants birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts alike. This jewel of the avian world, often seen perched near waterways, epitomises nature's beauty and precision.

Its vibrant colours, ranging from azure blues to vibrant oranges, evoke a sense of wonder, while its rapid dives into the water to catch fish showcase its remarkable hunting skills. The kingfisher's life by the water's edge is a testament to nature's intricate design.

This wonderful example was, after its natural demise, professionally prepared by a Swiss taxidermist in the south of Switzerland.
