A BRONZE FIGURE OF AKSHOBYA WITH SILVER, COPPER AND STONE INLAYS. Tibet 13th/14th c. H 18 cm. Consecration plate lost.

Tibet, 13./14. Jh. H 18 cm.
Bronze mit Silber- und Kupfereinlagen, sowie Türkisen und Korallen. Das Gesicht mit Resten von Kaltvergoldung, die Haare sind blau gefasst. Der Tathagata sitzt auf einem doppelten Lotosthron und trägt eine hohe fünfblättrige Krone. Die Rechte berührt in bhumisparsa-mudra den Sockel, die Linke ruht offen auf der Fusssohle. Das Kronenband, eine Halskette und die Säume des Hüfttuches sind in Kupfer bzw. Silber eingelegt. Unverschlossen.
