Rococo, Berne, ca. 1755/60. From the workshop of Mathäus Funk (1697–1783).
Walnut, inlaid with rectangular reserves and fillets. Rectangular body, on curved legs with sabots. Slightly retracted top with curved, hinged writing surface, the inside lined with black leather, opening up into nine drawers and three compartments. Two secret drawers. Opulent bronze mounts. Brass fluting on the drawers. The inside of the drawers lined with calico paper. 1 key.
