SCULPTURE OF VIRGIN AND CHILD ON CRESCENT,late Gothic, South Germany, circa 1490. Carved and painted limewood, verso hollow. Some losses, the face and the painting partly retouched. Worm holes. H 98 cm.

spätgotisch, Süddeutschland, um 1490.
Linde geschnitzt, gefasst und verso gehöhlt. Auf Mondsichel stehende Gottesmutter mit grosser Krone und Jesuskind in den Armen. Fehlstellen, das Gesicht und die Fassung teils überarbeitet. Wurmgänge. H 98 cm.
