With a black brush outer line and grey gouached margins. The lower margin with title and inscription in black pen. Framed. With fresh colours, scattered foxing, the margins with stronger rubbing and traces of an old mount. The upper margin cut.

La Chute du Rhin prise des Forges. Chez J.L. Bleuler Chateau de Laufen près Schaffhouse. Gouache, 32 x 48 cm. Die Einfassungslinie mit schwarzem Pinsel und grau gouachierten Rändern. Im unteren Rand mit schwarzer Feder betitelt und bezeichnet. Gerahmt. - Die farbfrische Darstellung mit einzelnen Fleckchen. Die Ränder mit stärkeren Bereibungen und stärkeren Spuren alter Montierung. Der obere Rand beschnitten.
