CABINET

Early Baroque, Flanders, 17th century.
Carved wood, featuring a group of figures from Antiquity in two round medallions, and opulently engraved with flowers, leaves and decorative frieze. Rectangular frame with double-doors. Fitted interior with central double-doors surrounded by twelve drawers of different sizes. The doors open up into a later interior decorated with rosewood and bone marquetry, and an in part mirrored compartment with three adjacent drawers on top and eight secret drawers behind two sliding compartments.
