WOODEN BOX, Renaissance, dated 1629, probably Innsbruck. Walnut, ash and partially coloured , local fruit woods, finely inlaid with compass, angle and Freemason symbols, hearts, reserves and decorative frieze. Rectangular body with hinged cover. The inside with hinged compartment. Iron locks, mounts and handle. 48x34x36 cm. Provenance: - from an Italian collection.

Nussbaum, Esche und teils kolorierte heimische Fruchthölzer fein eingelegt mit dem Zirkel, Winkel und Tischlersymbole, Herzen, Reserven und Zierfries. Rechteckiger, architektonisch gegliederter Korpus mit kassettiertem Klappdeckel, auf Kugelfüssen. Inwendig mit Klappfach. Schloss, Beschläge und Traghenkel aus Eisen. 48x34x36 cm.
