LARGE FAUTEUIL "A TETES DE LION",Empire, attributed to H. JACOB (Henri Jacob, 1753-1824), Paris circa 1805. Exceptionally finely carved mahogany. Green leather cover. 67x61x45x95 cm. Provenance: - Former Guy Ledoux-Lebard collection, Paris. - Artcurial Paris Auction, 20.6.2006 (Lot No. 139). - From a French collection. Expertise by Cabinet Dillee, Guillaume Dillee / Simon Pierre Etienne, Paris 2013.

Empire, H. JACOB (Henri Jacob, 1753-1824) zuzuschreiben, Paris um 1805.
Mahagoni ausserordentlich fein beschnitzt mit Merkurmaskaron, Löwenköpfen und reliefiertem Zierfries. Hufförmiger Sitz "à chassis" auf gerader Zarge mit vorderen Tatzen- und hinteren Säbelbeinen. Markant eingezogene Rückenlehne mit Eckvoluten und ausladenden Armlehnen auf geschweiften Löwenkopfstützen. Grüner Lederbezug. 67x61x45x95 cm.
