STANDING KASYAPA.China, Ming dynasty, H 20.5 cm. Bronze. In long robes, which leave his chest and right arm bare, the monk stands barefoot on a lotus pedestal. His hands are folded before his body. He is among the favourite disciples of the Buddha.

China, Ming-Dynastie, H 20,5 cm.
Bronze. In weiten Gewändern, welche die Brust und den rechten Arm freilassen, steht der Mönch barfuss auf einem Lotosthron. Die Hände hat er vor dem Körper zusammengefaltet. Er ist einer der Lieblingsschüler Buddhas.
