A GILT COPPER ALLOY FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI. Tibet, 14th/15th c. Height 18 cm. Consecration plate lost.

Feuervergoldete Kupferlegierung, die Haare sind blau gefasst. Der historische Buddha sitzt im Meditationsssitz auf einem doppelten Lotosthron. Die Rechte berührt die Erde, die Linke liegt in dyana-mudra auf der Ferse. Schräge geschlitzte Augen und ein klar modellierter Mund zieren das schmale sensible Gesicht. Verschlussplatte verloren.
