TABLE CLOCK WITH MOON PHASE AND CONSTELLATIONS,

Renaissance, case signed JOHANNES SAILLER ULM (Johannes Sayler, Angelberg 1597-1668 Ulm), ca. 1630/40.
Bronze and brass, gilt. Silver-plated, copper chapter ring for hours and minutes, and inner, smaller chapter ring for the date. Window for moon phase, and disc for stellar constellations and position. Gilt, finely engraved movement with original fusee and chain, and 2 finely engraved steel hammers for striking the hour and 1/4-hour on 2 bells. English wheel balance, later, probably built-in ca. 1700.
