A GILT COPPER ALLOY FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI WITH VAJRA. Tibet 14th c. Height 18 cm. Consecration plate lost.

Feuervergoldete Kupferlegierung, das Haar mit dunkelblauer Fassung. Der Buddha sitzt auf einem doppelten Lotosthron, einen Vajra vor sich liegen. In der Linken liegt die Almosenschale, die Rechte berührt in bhumisparsa-mudra den Sockel. Stachelige Noppenlocken rahmen das ernste Gesicht ein, eine Lotosknospe bekrönt die Ushnisha. Unverschlossen.
