A BRONZE FIGURE OF THE STANDING VISHNU.

India, Vijayanagar, circa 15th c. Height 28.5 cm. Nicely rubbed. Minor chip.
Bronze mit teils grüner Patina. Vishnu steht in Samabhanga auf einem runden Lotossockel mit getreppter quadratischer Plinthe. Seine rechte Haupthand hat er zur Abhayamudra erhoben, in den übrigen drei Händen hält er seine Attribute Chakra, Keule und Muschel. Die hohe Krone und der Dhoti weisen einen Ritzdekor auf. Schön berieben. Min. best.
